For the past day or two I've been getting this annoying ad on the bottom of my iPhone that would copy the thread title or forum area and ask "Looking for....."

I would hit the x, and it would go away for a little, but then come back. Is any one else getting this and is there a way to block it?

Noticed this on my iPad as well, makes the site pretty much unusable on iOS. They take up to much screen space, react slowly to scrolling, and appear after every single click. There are similarly worded ads in the top right corner of the page in Chrome on my Win7 work machine. Perhaps there has been a recent change in ad providers for the site. Hopefully the mobile banners are not a permanent addition.

Try this:

Thanks. That does take care of the issue. However it not an ideal solution, as I know the purpose of the ads is to support the site. Hopefully Alex can get them straightened out. I'm more than willing to have relevant and unobtrusive ads if that helps keep the site up and free.

It should be gone at this point. Google temporarily banned the site when they found what they felt was porn in some of the threads. I cleaned up some threads, and was using a different ad provider in the meantime. Google has since re-enabled this site, so I have removed the new provider and gone back to the way it was. The way it was behaving on mobile was a little surprising, as it looked like I had only added it for the header block, but somehow their javascript code must do additional things when it senses a mobile browser.
