Hi all Indoady has joined you. My problem is I have a great old 91 ZZR 600 in Oz that still kicks arse and I am moving to Bali and I can't take it with me,(don't ask I tried and lost money doing it) now I just want something similar there. So talk of sneaking a 500 or 650 into the 250 frame sounds great but what a about brakes, the twin discs (very necessary with that much extra grunt in Bali traffic) will stick out like dogs balls and defeat the purpose of sneaking a big motor into it. Great site any ideas.

Hi Indoady,
I've had a couple of big bikes here in Bali & glad i went to the 250....the traffic & roads are just not up to it plus anything that is not generally imported will keep you broke & off the road just getting spare parts.
An "illegal bike" with no papers is possible but there is always the risk of the police "swoops" where bikes are taken.
Some good mechanics here & engine mods are pretty cheap.
Get up here soon while the riding weather is good.

Welcome to the forum... Can ya get a 300??? Maybe I'm just partial to em, but they are pretty great!!! It seems lots of folks in that part of the world do some pretty wild things with 250's!!! May even wind up with a turbo one if ya try

Welcome to our site !!!
The Ninja 250 is enough for any traffic, just buy one if you can.
Otherwise, any two-stroke 250 with a resonant pipe will beat any 600 in street traffic.
