Whats up guys, Just picked up my 2006 Ninja 250R about 2 weeks ago and totally stoked with her. Had a CBR 600 but for some reason fell in love with this bike. Got her for $800 in about 100 pieces not running, fairings smashed, dumped who knows how many times, carbs gunked. Felt bad for her and thus started the resurrection of my 250R.
I'm excited with my work so far and how shes coming out, everything has been done by hand. ( Painting, Polishing, Engine work, Fairings Re-pieced, Tail elimination, self fabricated parts right down to running my own led's in parallel ) She has been an all hands on project with the only prefab parts being bought so far, the rear blinkers & timing chain.
I'm here to talk with people who share my love for the ninja. Shes not the fastest or badest thing on the road but I wouldn't have any other bike for some reason. Looking to share photos, chat it up, look for advice and share what I know from my experiences so far. Shes not my first build or repair but def my best work and the only one where everything has been done without prefab. like to maybe find some people near by to ride with and tinker on each others bikes.
Im in central Mass / Worcester area and have access to a full machine shop and materials so would love to lend a hand on some truly custom work. I've got 20+ years in engine repair, fabrication & body work. But I'm new to the ninja and I'm sure there are people here who've had experiences with them I'm just getting into.
