You know what's a "clever idea" that they did over on KF for a while? The "KF" library. Basically people that owned a lot of manuals, books, etc. would list them and people would 'check them out'. Basically you'd mail a self addressed envelope to that person and borrow the book, manual, whatever. For some of the technical books (I for instance own a metric ****-ton of technical manuals) it'd benefit to check a couple out at a time (as individually some of the books aren't worth a lot, but combined could be).
