Happy to sign up and be able to learn so much about my bike and talk with other riders! Bought this bike in 2011 with 250miles on it, and about to roll to 3700. I am anxious to learn a lot of DIY tips from anyone. My bike is long overdue for an oil change, on my weekend list of things-to-do, as well as a dealership recently informed me that my front seal is blown. I'm looking for the easiest advice on fixing this one at home too! I'm a female rider with a motto, 'Anything boys can do, I can do too!' I am always looking for other riders in Colorado! (Denver area!)

Happy Riding!!! :p

:welcome: Tristan!!

I was just in your "area" not too long ago (Idaho Springs) and got to watch the sun rise over Denver. Beautiful country you've got over there.

There are several of us ladies on here all at various stages of being able to wrench on our own bikes. I am going to figure out how to do an oil change one of these days, but I can flush my own coolant and install a bunch of new electronics. :D

Glad to have you on board and definitely check out the sticky for DIYs (http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5586).

Colorado native here Teri, such a gorgeous place! Must admit though, having the mountains all the time sure makes one wish to see the coast too! Would be a nice change of scenery to ride canyons, then coastline ;) Maybe someday!

Do you DIY on a lot of maintenance for your bike? Are you familiar with 250's?

Good to know, appreciate it! I'm a car buff personally so working on my own bike is a whole new ballgame. I feel honored Peanut is nearby and has great knowledge!

Welcome!! Colorado Native here as well, unfortunately had to move down to Houston area a year ago due to work. Kind of glad I missed the fires and no the flooding though. Poor parents had to deal with it all

I miss CO:( I do not like Ohio...no offense...(mostly because the bmv is stupid and I've been trying to register my bike for almost 3 months to no avail). Enjoy the ride though and welcome!
