I want to hook up a voltmeter and thermometer to my bike, and I only want it to turn on when the key is in ON position, so it doesnt drain the battery. Does ninja 250 have a accessory wire, or cigarette lighter wire?? If not where is the ignition wire located?

thanks!

AFAIK the new gens do not have an accessory wire like the pregens had.

The bundle of wires coming from the key maybe are (I might have a few listed not on US models):
Ignition 1: Brown
Battery 1: White
Ignition 2: Gray
Tail 1: Red / Blue
Tail 2: Red
Battery 2: White / Black
Tail 3: Orange / Green

I used the Red wire going to the tail light for my relay's switched power.

Not what you ask, but close:

"A good location to tap into is the battery side of the horn button. (If you put it on the other side, it'll only work when you honk your horn.) Another option is to get your power from an electrical distribution block. Whatever you do, running the new wires along OEM wires will usually keep them out of the way.

The connections to the meter should be well protected from the weather by the fairings, but if you're concerned you can coat them with dielectric grease."
