Hey Everybody,

I have been lurking around for about a week and have really learned a lot about the 250! It seems to be a great close nit community of mature and safety conscious folks!

Unfortunately, I don't have any sharp pics of my lightning fast ninja 250, well, because I don't currently own one. However, I hopefully will real soon.

I bought a helmet and have signed up for the MSF course the first weekend in May, as I have never ridden a motorcycle, but I know it is something I will really enjoy.

Umm... a little about me... I currently live in the Booming Economic Capital of the US... Southeast Michigan and I grew up just a few miles north of Atlanta.

Thanks again for all the hard work in putting together this forum.

Jeff (BlueJeepYJ)

Aloha and welcome, Jeff.

Hope you'll be up and running with your new bike soon. Any plans on when you might be purchasing?

Hey kkim,

In a perfect world, I would like to have a bike by the time I complete the MSF course. However, with a job in a market that has more ups and downs than an old wooden roller coaster it may be pushed back a little further!

I really would like an 08+ but have not ruled out a classic 250 (due to price and since I have never ridden before).

:welcome: Jeff - lots of good information for you to mine here. Get your MSF course, gear and you'll be ready to decide what you are going to do.

Getting one of these bikes and riding is like making love to a wonderful woman - enjoy the anticipation, admire the beautiful lines, and don't be in a hurry. :D

I think you are right Alex but only in chronological age, not in the heart.

Hey Folks!

I thought it would be fun to resurrect this old thread. Its kindof weird reading your own old posts! A lot has happened over the last few years. I never did go to the MSF class and had to put the dream of getting a 250 on hold for a while.

Fast forward 3 years! I am back home in the ATL with a new career and just purchased a 2009 250 this week. It’s in really nice shape and I think I got a great deal! I am heading to a MSF class tonight in Alpharetta and have ordered most of my gear and just got to find a jacket.

Here she is!!

Finished the MSF course. I took it at the Honda distribution plant in Alpharetta, GA at the Rider Education center. It was a blast, learned a lot and I got to use the new Honda CBR250. I have put about 100 miles on my 250 so far and LOVE it! I do have to say though that I have taken quite a bit of crap from people about my 250. This "biker" guy at work gave me a real hard time saying that I should of at least gotten a 650 and that his daughter rides a 650! Thanks to all here for making this a great forum!
