I've got both the front and rear stands. Never had a problem.

were lucky in central ohio to have a motorcycle superstore. i bought both the front and the rear stands at www.ironpony.com (i bought mine in-store) for 90 bucks plus tax. made by BVP and you assemble them yourself. shipped $120-$140 for both id guess. the boxes weren't that big. decently constructed and have worked so far....

guam shipping may be a bit different..... sorry, didn't check your locale...

Guam shipping is the same as US domestic. Some vendors like to charge extra to ship here though. Under $200 was what I was looking for. Thanks for all the leads- I'll definitely check those out.

If you're willing to pay $200, keep an eye out on ebay for the pit bulls - you won't regret it!

i bought these handy stands way back when i had my 600. they work pretty good. the front isn't the sturdiest in the world, but it works:

+1 on T-Rex i have a rear stand and it is top notch in my book

those look pretty good and semi affordable.

Ditto the +1 on T-Rex. You can get them on eBay for about $60 each and they are more than adequate and well made.

Definitely get the triple tree variety. Allows more work to be done. Do a google search. There should be a wiki on stands, as well. Also, buy the rear spools from T-Rex at the same time and save on shipping.

I was curious about that too. I am also looking to pick up some stands. I'm hoping that because the swingarm is very close to the same on the hubby's Rebel as well as my Ninja that I could use the same rear stand for both.

Does anyone know what size spools the next gen 250 uses? Are the sizes universal?

just be mindful of the spool shape when you purchase. Take a look at the threaded holes in your swingarm for the spools. If you notice, the holes are quite close to the swingarm... you need to be sure whatever spools you get will clear the swingarm and be able to lie flat on the threaded holes.

like I said, take a look at your bike and figure out how small the spool needs to be right there next to the swingarm.

I did. The a-tech hugger might complicate things a bit as 2 of the bolts that secure it screw into the holes for the spools. I may need extra long bolts in the spools as they need to pass through the hugger and a rubber washer roughly 1/4 inch thick. Do most spools have interchangeable bolts?

yes... spools are nothing more than round spacers with allen bolts through them. depending on how thick the hugger is, you might not even need a longer bolt. if you do, go down to the hardware store and buy the next longest metric allen 10mm bolt you can find. if it ends up too long, you may need to cut it down a bit, but I wouldn't think that would be needed.
