View Full Version : Some database glitches earlier today

Sorry all - it looks like the site might have been somewhat flaky earlier today. A database table crashed, but it's not a critical table. It keeps stats/metrics on guests visiting the site. This means that the site likely worked for most members if they were logged in, but may have failed from time to time for non-logged in members (and perhaps some members as well).

All is repaired at this point, but the fun part is always cleaning out my inbox. Every single database error kicks out an alert email to me, which means 8,000+ and counting this morning. For quite awhile after I fixed everything, they kept coming in as the outbound & inbound mailservers worked through the backlog.

Let me know if you see any residual weirdness...

Because of my privacy settings i never stay logged in so saw the database error. I hit refresh about 8000 times but nothing happened. ;)

As opposed to the normal weirdness we see on a daily basis?
