I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been lurking for about a week now. A little about myself, I've been an auto mechanic for the past 11 years (2 years schooling, 4 years dealership, rest side work). I'm getting out before I burn out. Now I'm going back to school for welding. Welding has been one skill I've always wanted, and once I got into auto racing, I quickly realized how much welding is really needed. In the journey of prepping to go back to school, I've learned about a Manufacturing Operations Management program, so in a few years, I'm going on to that.

Now, I've had a 1974 Pontiac Ventura for years as a project that I've never started. A friend of mine has wanted to buy it from me for a couple months, but life gets in the way. So last month, he offers a 1999 250 that runs in trade. He offered because I've neen looking for a CB as a first bike/cafe racer build.

I don't know much about motorcycles, and am not super experienced. So I'm excited for my new learning adveture.

I was referred to thos forum (by far the best I've seen) by a friend of mine in Spokane who had a newer 250.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to post pics from my cellphone with the mobile version.
