Cheers. Just purchased my ride... 2013 Ninja 300 SE in Kawi Green. Was fortunate to get it with just 600 miles on the clock from a local fellow.... Still trying to get comfortable on her. This is my first street bike so newbie comments are definitely warranted. Cheers everyone....

Hey, congratulations! You know I've only been hanging here at the forum for a few days now, but being kind of a vet with forums in general this place seems top notch. Everyone has been supportive and welcoming to me thus far. So I'm paying it forward! Welcome aboard!!!!

Welcome to our site, Alfred !!!

Congratulations on your new beauty.

Please, visit our Riding Skills section.

Also, remove the expensive plastics from your bike during the first months of learning, as you may drop it during that time (most new riders do).

Welcome! I'm jealous. I want a 300. I was looking at orange county craigslist just last night and the market price still seems to be in the $4500 range for the decent used 2013 300s. I'll have to wait a year or so for more used ones to come on the market I guess.

Other posts are right...if it's not already scratched it would probably be a good idea to do something to protect the fairings while you're learning. I dropped mine in the garage (trying to walk it backwards while walking next to it) about a week after I bought it, then again a little over a month after I bought it I dropped it doing a low speed turn in a parking space trying to practice not putting a foot down in slow speed turns. Luckily for me mine was already all scratched up when I bought it, so I didn't feel bad about dropping it on the already damaged fairings.

Welcome! I'm a newbie myself. Only had my bike for 3 weeks. 2010 though, so I'm not too worried about her getting scuffed up haha. But nice bike man! Hope it stays that way :D
