***Update*** It seems like it was just a little optical illusion. The pipe wasn't actually welded, just this small ring stopper placed in the mid-pipe is welded and the actual slip on just came off once I screwed off the necessary nuts. Not sure about the nut on the second picture. I was able to screw off the one on the other side, though.

^ Is this the way it is supposed to look like? How will I be able to take it off so I can slide my new pipe in there?

Thanks..

I don't have one sitting right here, but that looks all original to me.

Hmmm, something must odd here.

Remove heat shielding
Remove clamp bolt, nut will stay welded to clamp
Remove bolt near passenger peg
Slide off stock can

Should be about that easy.

Maybe I need to have another look at it today. Doesn't it look like the stock exhaust is welded in to the mid-pipe?
