I've had an account for awhile but haven't had a 250. My wife has raced her 250 for 2 seasons now and I pit with a bunch of my buddies that own 250s when we race at CVMA. I recently traded off my formula twins bike for a minimoto and a nice looking 250R so that I can race with everyone in the 250SS and ULWS classes. I got a chance to race my buddy's RS125 at the beginning of the year and loved the smaller class so much I've decided to trade up.

Oh man, if it were that easy you bet your ass I'd be stealing tire money! Actually, turns out no matter what class you're in you need talent to podium. Unless they let me ride an SV in the 250 class I'm gonna have to fight hard for a decent spot.

I'm stoked to race the smaller bike in the stock class. It will be nice to battle people on the same hardware with stock motors. Cheaper tires that last longer was the main selling point for the 250. Really, I wanted to race that Aprilia RS125 again but my buddy won't sell the damn bike to me and they're rare so I'm kinda screwed there.

I had SV listed at $4,500 and had a buyer. I offered the full amount to JP for the RS and he STILL wouldn't sell. :( Nothing against the Ninja, just that I loved the chassis and the 2-stroke motor on that Ape. I love 2-strokes. It made less hp than the Ninja but it felt faster. lol:thumbup:

and Hey, if you can ship it or pick it up these guys generally have an RS125 or 2 laying around. Sometimes they have non "street legal" ones for a little cheaper which would fit the racing bill a little better.

Yeah I have no use for a street legal one. The 2009 model I raced wasn't sold as a street legal bike.
