Hey guys, I am not only in need of some new tires but I also need a new chain (apparently). I noticed that my chain is unevenly stretched. I've been told from a few people that it's time for a new one but that kind of surprised me seeing as how the chain only has 6800 miles on it. Either way I don't know what to look for in a good chain and was wondering if anyone could recommend some or explain what to look for.

These have proven to be excellent for the last several years on many of our dirt race bikes. I'll be using it on the 300 also. Cheap and strong.

Did you adjust the chain? Too tightly perhaps? I have cleaned mine once or twice and basically ignored it into my second harsh, salty winter and it is fine at 9k miles. I've been thru a few sprockets in that span though.

Replace with new sprockets as a set. You can buy some time by swapping out the front every 4-5k miles.
