“All bad things must come to an end.” It’s an appropriate title for Motley Crue’s final tour. That’s right, after more than three decades, Motley Crue is going on tour for one last time, and they’ll be making a stop at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. Joining them on this final tour is special guest, Alice Cooper.
Mötley Crüe’s beloved rock anthems and wild offstage lifestyles have influenced generations of fans—many who weren’t even born during the band’s early years. Fans young and old will be able to sing along with such unruly rock anthems as “Kickstart My Heart,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Wild Side,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Shout at the Devil,” “Dr. Feelgood” and “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” on Aug. 5 during the Chip’s August music festival. But that’s not all. In addition to Motley Crue and Alice Cooper, the Buffalo Chip still has two more band announcements to make, and is holding a special contest to anyone who can guess the performers. Winners will get a Buffalo Chip prize pack filled with swag and a chance to win a pair of VIP upgrades.
So how does it work? Prior to the band announcement, the Buffalo Chip will release clues that relate to the band. We will be announcing two bands in this round. You’ll find the first clue right here on this page for the first band (http://www.buffalochip.com/EVENTS/Contests/Guess-the-Band). The remainder of the clues will appear on the*Legendary Buffalo Chip Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SturgisBuffaloChip). In addition, all of the clues for the second band will appear on the*Buffalo Chip Twitter page (https://twitter.com/TheChip). Each day, we will add an additional clue, with the final clue announcing the name of the band.**Be sure to submit your guesses on the Buffalo Chip page for your entry to count. Guesses posted to Facebook won’t be counted!
