Well, I've been lurking around here for the past month or so as part of the research I was doing in choosing my first motorcycle. I passed my MSF class last weekend, and picked up my endorsement this past week. After losing out on a few used '08's recently, I decided to just bite the bullet and purchase a new '09 250r. I should be picking up a red one tomorrow! :thumbup:

I look forward to learning much more about the 250r and about riding in general from the seemingly fine folks that post here!

I've had most of the gear for a few weeks now, picked up the helmet and gloves specifically for the MSF course. Still waiting on boots though (using some hiking boots in the meantime).

Picked up the bike this afternoon, and have already put 90 miles it.

Try to be careful, though.. this is the time a lot of people get in over their heads and make a mistake. stay focused. :)
