A good friend has lost his long time girl friend to cancer, and leaving her "kids" without their Mama. The two dogs are sweethearts, both good around people and other dogs. No idea on their exposure to children.

The dalmatian had been a rescue, and had lost most of its teeth chewing on a chain it was locked to. It still eats normally, just not much of a smile ;). It is a super sweetheart of a dog. It loves to just be near people. It will slide his head under your hand and just stay there forever.

The other is a mutt, Brindle but I think mostly shep in the mix. I don't see any pit bull in it, again, very sweet, lots of affection in this dog too. I'll have more info on them both in the next day or two. Their pics will be in the next two posts. Located in Daytona Beach area. I'm down to race JDay next week and camping at our friend's house.

Any help finding them a good home is greatly appreciated!!!

Her dying wish was to find these dogs a good home. A family living in a small apt. was already turned away. Please, if you have a good home to give them, or know of one, get in touch with Jimmie at 386-290-7778.

Any help in finding them a great home is appreciated!!!

I have an uncle in Florida. I don't know what his current circumstances are, but he's a total animal lover. I'll try to get a hold of him and see if he'd like another dog or two, since he's lost his last dog and cat to old age and a snake bite, respectively.

That would be awesome, thanks to you and anyone who passes the word along. I'm back in NJ but my brother is right there at the house. If it weren't for my collie and GSD, I'd have brought these guys home myself.

So sad. Those look like some great dogs that deserve a good home. I love the one cute floppy ear on the shepherd mix. I'm too far away to do anything about it, just want to say good luck and good job being a friend.

Thanks, sad story for sure. She had beat cancer a few years back, this hit out of the blue and finished her in 3 months. Her dying wish was a good home for the dogs.

Tough task in a world with too many dogs. Hopefully it works itself out with some luck.

Thanks for the nice words, every bump might bring them closer to a loving family. Appreciate it!

Spay and neuter folks.

Wish I could help. I just rescued one myself, so my house is full.

Sorry for your loss. It's very sad when someone passes with animals. Thanks for looking out for them and trying to find a good home for them. They sound like nice dogs.

Just rescued a dog myself. Previous owner would leave him locked in a cage barely bigger than the dog for 14 hours a day on workdays! It's no wonder he's over-stimulated when he gets out.
