I recently picked up a 2009 Ninja 250R with an aftermarket headlight that isn't wired. I took of the headlight to attempt to get it working but I quickly ran into a dead end. The bike also doesn't have any gauges so there are an excess of wires which are making my job more difficult.

The first picture is the aftermarket headlight (blue, white, and green wires)
There are also wires for the turn signals (black, red, and black/white)

The second picture shows all the wires that are coming from the bike (two wiring harnesses, black/yellow, green, black/yellow, red/black, blue/yellow, and black/yellow)

Does anyone have any idea which wires go where in order to get the headlight and turn signals to work?

All of the wiring diagrams I found were unclear.

Right headlight/high beam: three wires (2 red/black, black/yellow) - wiring diagram only has one reb/black, but I have two going into the same pin.

The wires going into the two white plastic connectors are the gauge wires. Those are:

Three pin: red/black, 2 grey in same pin
Nine pin: white/green, red/blue, light green/black, brown/black, black/yellow, blue/red, green, black, light green

*note: I have a diode mod because i have LED lights, so there are a few extra wires. Ignore the blue wire I am pulling away from the rest, and one wire is switched around so they won't look identical.

Thanks for that NevadaWolf! That will help tremendously. The next thing I need to figure out is what the third wire (on both the headlight and the turn signal) connects to - since they are only given two wires to connect to.

Is the after market head light have options for daytime running lights or angel eyes?

I don't know if this is the exact headlight that I have but if not, it's very similar.

The third wire on the turn signal is likely for running lights. When you test for which wire is which, whatever one gives off the brightest glow is the turn signal while the dim one is the running light. Our bikes aren't wired for the running light so you'll either leave that wire disconnected, or add in a third wire going to some switched source (license plate light, tail light, ignitionwire, etc).

Looks like you only have one headlamp (true?) so the third wire is probably your high beam. The stock headlight has two bulbs, one on constantly for the low beam, the second on only for the highbeam (gives us a weird "Your headlight is out" look). Again, probably just need to figure out which headlight wire powers the brighter filament and hook that to the high beam wire from the bike.

It looks like I have all of the connecting wires except for the high-beam, so I'll have to look for those.

With that being said, I now know which wires power what, but before I hook anything up would it be safe to assume that the black/yellow wires coming from the bike are all ground?

I would say yes. Simply cause the black/yellow is on every light, that would be my guess as well. :)

Looking at the wiring diagram, the red/black wire comes from the left controls at the high beam switch, so you might be able to find it at its source and track it up front. There is a split in the main wire that heads off to the high beam indicator on the dash which connects at the three pin red/black wire. So that might give you a point to test if power is making it from the switch.
