Hey everyone. Its been a while since I had a 250 (made a switch to a 500 which I hated and sold last Sunday) so i've made my way back here.
Anyway, I bought a new 08 250 with a "slip on" exhaust. I used quotes because the person who installed it LITERALLY slipped it on. The midpipe (I believe its called) is about 1/8 larger than the pipe that goes to the engine all around. I mean when you push on the thing it clanks against the smaller pipe.
Is this misfitting too big to cover with High Temperature Red RTV Silicone Gasket Maker?
Just for your info, it appears to be a MGP growler...and is annoyingly loud. I'm hoping sealing this gap will help.
