the chain I got is 108 links, I also have a 15t front sprocket. The rear will be staying a 45t. Will the 108 link be too long?

Shouldn't be, but when i stretches out some you might be at the end of your adjusters. If so, just cut a link our two out and ride on. Or... cut it to 106 during the install and save the time later. :)

Really? For me it was 8th. I just thought LNasty had a better schooling program than I.

Now we can answer the long old question of "when will we ever use these maths in life?"
And we will answer... "Young las! If thine grow up to be a cyclists of motors then ye shall use thine gamma function in the event of new parts and chain and sprocket science. So learn now las!"

You can always remove links. It's having too few that could be a problem.
