Okay so I didnt know where this post should have been posted up on the forum but I thought this might be an appropriate place (hence freckles and cosmetic mods) Probably not a lot of people know me on this forum but about 4 months ago I picked up a non-running 08 ninja 250R at the junkyard from 45mph crash damaged into another ninja 250r same year lol! (January 31, 2009). Im a 600 and 850cc rider but with all the hype of the 250 and how fun it was to ride I went ahead and tried to get one the first season it was released and they were all on backorder. So yesterday (April 27th, 2009) not completely done yet..I still have a couple of other mods to put on (waiting for the parts to arrive from japan.) Here is a sample of one before and one after picture. This post is meant to inspire people in that when you have an idea and you put your mind to it, you can make it happen. Stay tuned. More to come. Btw that is one of my best friends riding my bike. Wanted to get a picture of it in motion.

Nice, where did you pick up those fairings and how much?

Didn't pick those up anywhere. Went out to my local automotive paint shop and came home with some cans of paint. Loaded up the spray gun and started spraying lol. All custom work done at home.

I think he meant the new fairings, or did you somehow fix the old ones?

Bike looks great.

And I think white may be the fastest color of all, since it contains all the other colors. :p

Great work KVR, looks fantastic!

Thanks! Took forever. 8 coats of paint on each panel and six coats of clear.
Hand sanding in between each coat... talk about tiring. Mods to come A-tech type-r tank pad and rear hugger.

Actually if I remember from art class in the 4th grade (which I probably don't). But doesn't white contain no colors...its the absence of color. So its superrrrr fast haha

Really nice work. Did you powder coat your wheels or paint them?

no white is all colors, black is the absense of color in terms of light (think night)

Great job fixing the plastics and the tank. I'm even more impressed now.

Yep took one day to powdercoat my rims. Got some silver with flake at the automotive paint shop and then threw on 2 coats paint and 2 coats of clear. Baking in the oven between each coat.

KVR the bike is looking sick. You've definitely got some paint skills! Plus those a-tech parts will just set everything off, especially on a white bike.

I liked how everything turned out. still have to reposition my M4 exhaust a little. Trying to make it angled down low like gp style bikes.

I'm surprised no one has asked about the most obviously damaged piece, the gas tank! Were you lucky enough to find a good deal or what?

Wayyyy cool! I love these bikes in white, especially with the touch of black you added. I like the wheels too, but it makes me wonder how badass some white wheels would look.

I've seen a few different 250r bikes painted white, and it really suits the bike (though I bet it is hard to keep clean). I wonder if Kawasaki will eventually bring it out as a standard colour?

its easy to keep clean for me because i have so high quality 3m shiner i get from the hospital and of course i clean it up after every ride and keep it under a cover all the time. The color code I used is Scion TC white.

Thanks! Your approval means a lot. Still waiting for the A-Tech tankpad and hugger to arrive. Im still looking into HIDs. Im going with the 6000k that Sound Wave has. They look good. And the last thing is White LED underbody lighting. I'll call her good after that.

It rides very good. the response is insane after shimming the needles in the carb and adding BMC airpods, M4 exhaust and a FP jetkit. More pics are on the way. Photoshoot is coming up in a couple weeks.
