While we’ve known for months that Suzuki (http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/suzuki.html) was working on the GSX-S1000 naked streetfighter (http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/suzuki/intermot-2014-suzuki-gsx-s1000.html), the Japanese manufacturer still managed to surprise us with a faired version called the GSX-S1000F.

Unveiled at Intermot (http://www.motorcycle.com/events/intermot-2014-cologne-motorcycle-show), the GSX-S1000F shares the same engine as the naked bike, a refreshed version of the 2005-2008 GSX-1000R powerplant. The newly-developed frame, KYB fork and Brembo brakes are also the same as on the GSX-S1000, as well as the three-mode traction control system.

The F sports a somewhat avian-looking fairing, with forward-leaning side panels and a sharp nose. We look forward to seeing how the GSX-S1000F fares against competitors such as the Kawasaki Ninja 1000.

Suzuki will produce the GSX-S1000F in three color options: Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Daring Red, and Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray.
