Did you see his comments. He basically says he can't touch the ground and a strong wind can tip him if he has to stop.

"Seat height doesn't really matter much," they say. "Only noobs need to get a foot down," they say.

Pffft.

I'm 5'7" if I eat my Wheaties. I know all too well what a PITA high seats are.

I feel more comfortable on a high bike while riding. But, walking is a pain lol

I may be raising the rear end of my zx6r this winter.

Oh yeah, while riding a higher seat height is fantastic. The effect of it is felt best at the track for me. Anything at a slow pace (stop-go traffic, or parking) and I am glad that I am able to easily get both of my feet down. Anything taller than a 600 supersport and I start to have issues with that which means I stop considering the bike as a street bike.

At 6'3" I've never had an issue with high seats...

What's everyone complaining about?

At 5'3" Ill probably have problems with every bike. I am on the tips of my feet with the 250 as it is...I am used to not being able to flat foot, and just use my left foot on the ground for everything, and keep my right on the peg. When I upgrade to a 600cc I might think about lowering it slightly, though.

interesting, I'm roughly the same height as you and I felt at home on the r6 and cbr600rr. I'd expect all of the bikes in the 600 class to be relatively the same size.

5'11 here and definitely cramped on "non aggressive" rides on my 6R.

I'm 5'5 and yesterday I conquered the DRZ400SM at stock height... had to throw it over to the right side using momentum to get it off the kickstand and I could put one tip toe on the ground at stop lights!

I'd expect all of the bikes in the 600 class to be relatively the same size.

Seat height isn't the only thing that determines how big a bike feels. The 2008 R6 feels taller to me than the DRZ400 because it has a wider seat and is more front-heavy. I am even feeling cramped and curled up on the 2008 R6 but felt perfectly at home on the 1999 R6. I think a lot of it has to do with handlebar height, seat width, and center of gravity.

I`m 5`4. I feel you. I use boots that give me about an extra 3/4 of an inch. Makes a huge difference but still not able to flat foot. It does give me a little more leverage tthough.
