For those of you that may not follow the Motorcycling News Section, Kawasaki has unveiled a naked version of the Ninja 300 - the Z300. They haven't said for sure if it will be coming to the U.S., but hopefully it will.

Fugly? Really? I don't mind the styling, but I would have to get rid of the stylized "Z" on the side - that I don't care for. It would look a lot less busy without it.

Kawi likes to use too much black on trim and body panels.

I'd ride it pretty hard.

To me, I've always interpreted naked bikes as more of a "Hey, check out these sexy, powerful mechanical bits!" On a smaller bike, that's kinda contradictory. It's like going to the beach and seeing an attractive, strong man wearing a speedo, vs a thin man wearing a speedo. (Bad analogy, not meaning to make anyone feel ashamed of their bodies, but you probably get the idea)

I've always seen it the other way.. Like a naked bike is a little more rugged and mean looking, not necessarily more powerful, but less concerned with looks.

I'm not a big fan of naked bikes X(

Plus the stalk turn signals ABOVE the headlight look retarded....

Lol, where your analogy falls apart is when thoe two get in the pool. It's very likely that the slimmer fellow is just as fast if not faster and would put me muscles to shame. Notice how swimmers are built.

It's more like an attractive lady who's well endowed vs an attractive lady who stuffs her bra. Both wear the same cup size, but one is real, the other is flaunting for attention.

The bike is fine for looks, but need to redesign the front headlight assembly.

Like the z800, nice looking bike from the handlebars back.

Sweet I would ride it. I am ready for a couple of years later when they are selling extra cheap. I am wondering whats going to happen to the used motorcycle market in the next couple years.

The Asian market (Thailand, Philippines etc.) is where the designs for the bikes are seeming to come from.

Personally, I love naked street bikes.. but this is neither a fully fared sport bike or a nekkid one.

It has at least 3 farings, bottom, L and R sides. Too much plastic. Peel it back more and let it all air out. If the bike lends itself to such a design, it'll naturally look awesome.. otherwise, kawi should see that and put the full farings back on.

But this is kinda the design thats trending right now... and as mentioned is SUPER popular overseas.

I like it, but I'm sure I'll just finance another $3500 and just buy an FZ-09 like I really want.

Farings come off, dollars go on. It's like kids clothes or convertibles.. there's less THERE, but still cost the same or more.

I like street fighter looking' bikes too =

Yeah, get rid of the Z. Black looks good too.

I wonder what the price difference between the naked and full dressed?
