Good Old Hallet - used to live in Broken Arrow and worked F&C with the SCCA there on many a hot muggy day. Penske used to bring his cars up for testing and there were four of us that would get tapped to go out and provide communications for them on the far out corners and if we had a rain shower we would have to go out and dry the lines for them (I really hated that with my X1/9 :) ). Emerson (Emo) Fittipaldi was up one time and got to have lunch with him in the tower.

Sorry didn't mean to hi-jack your post but Hallet brings back a lot of great memories. Have you every run the track counter-race? That will screw with your lines.

yeah, i've done it both directions. totally different track. we did it clockwise last weekend. its deff my favorite track that we race, but its pretty far away for us. over 4 hours for me from dallas, and 8-9 hours for my parents from central texas. the teams from louisianna and houston really have a haul.

CCW turn1 is scary going CW. you can probably do it flat out on the 250, but the entrance is so bumpy that you literally can't even see straight. you just aim for the apex, throw it down, and hope that your suspension and tires make it through again. i got a rush every lap.

Hallett is like, two hours from me. How much is it to run the bike?

i don't know. i've never done a track day there, only race events. our local track day people don't do that track, so i'm not even sure what organization does track days there. check their site: hallettracing.net
