Snake May 29th, 2009, 07:27 PM Nice & shinny looking bike.
miks May 29th, 2009, 07:45 PM Very nice looking bike. Love the black front hugger with the black decals.
And very nice work on the application of the rim tape :D lol.

haha I know right?
it was when I was a super noob and had no stands to apply them.. oh well at least I can always remove and put a new set on. plus you can only see them if someone's lights are shinning on them, usually at night
muffinman May 31st, 2009, 01:24 AM Best blue new-gen 250R here. Looks sharp man, I like the subtle touches (black front fender, carbon pattern(?) knee grips, etc.)
Banzai May 31st, 2009, 05:41 AM Looks nice. Use spray detailer after each ride and between waxes and you won't have to wash/wax nearly as often!
Buffalony May 31st, 2009, 10:00 AM Bike looks good Pat. I've been wanting a black front fender to match my black rear fender. Cant seem to find one cheap.
Where did you get the clock? I need a clock and cant find a digital one that looks good or has a backlight. I'd love to have a clock with the green dot matrix. I think it would be easier to read.
I like the heatshield alot too
paterick4o8 May 31st, 2009, 02:49 PM Thanks guys.

I got lucky and PM'ed Richard from Race Bike Rentals. He happened to have a stock black front fender, forgot how much I paid tho, but cheaper than any other website selling OEM parts.
As for the clock, I got it from Amazon.com. Searched for Type S digital clocks for a dashboard, and that was the best one I saw.
Sound Wave May 31st, 2009, 04:57 PM patrick, is that clock waterproof? i need a clock too. with my gauntlet gloves, i can't tell what time it is when i am riding.
thanks.
sharky nrk May 31st, 2009, 05:13 PM alot of things about your bike look really good
IlBLisSlI June 1st, 2009, 01:15 PM sweet. i've been looking for a clock to mount on my bike and this is exactly what i was looking for. thanks for the pics

it's not waterproof. I don't keep my bike out in the rain anyways so not a worry for me personally

how exactly do you have it mounted? Velcro i assume?
paterick4o8 June 4th, 2009, 12:24 AM how exactly do you have it mounted? Velcro i assume?
actually the bottom already has a 3M sticky. however I don't see it being able to hold forever as dirt will eventually loosen it up. I actually made sure it's secure by placing it so it's pressed between the dash and the back of my windscreen.
I had some extra padding that sticks on one side and stuck the sticky side to the top of the clock before securing against the windscreen, that way the screen doesn't get scratched up
on another note, if the bottom where the 3M sticky does get too loose, I'll switch to velcro
IlBLisSlI June 4th, 2009, 02:12 PM after checking out the dash on my 06 it doesn't look like there would really be a place to mount that clock but i did find one at walmart that fit almost perfectly with the pre-gen dash.
ps i just noticed you can see your face in the mirror on the upper right hand corner of the pic of your clock lol

pics? water proof or resistant?
Pilot16 June 4th, 2009, 10:00 PM I think a bike mounted on stands looks sexy no matter what mods you have! Very clean, lovin it.

haha yeah, it was on purpose that's why I was smiling lol :p
addy126 June 13th, 2009, 10:16 PM I use the Formotion Waterproof Clock that features luminescence for night time use. Pretty happy with the product. Easy to read night/day, adjusting time is a snap. Went for the black and took off the rear chrome bezel accessory for the sportier look. Pricey but excellent product. http://www.formotionproducts.com/gauges_menu.htm
paterick4o8 June 15th, 2009, 02:43 PM ^ glad you found something that works. Personally, I was looking for something that was digital so I chose the Type S.
Now, gonna buy some spray detail today like Thomas suggested.. Too lazy to do a full wash
paterick4o8 June 20th, 2009, 05:53 PM Only additions are the noticeable 08 black seat cowl I bought from CRXTrek, aka, Steve. Some may think it looks ugly or weird, but I think it looks fine, and different. I just wish it was the 09 Black, which has a nicer finish.
Then the WoodCraft Clip-ons, and the barely noticeable black Galfer stainless steel brake lines.

Actually, I had another random rider, on new gen come up to me today during a rest between a group ride I was on.
He commented me on how he really liked what I've done to the bike
He asked me about the black seat cowl and if I painted it.. I told him I bought it off another rider on Ninjette.org
yes I advertised for this website by word of mouth :D
raincity June 27th, 2009, 07:14 AM can I use regular wax to wax the bike or do I have to use the wax for the bike only?
thanx in advance
Snake June 27th, 2009, 08:25 AM Any name brand "aoutomotive" wax will work just fine. Same thing for the wash solution.
