my t-rex spools came home today.
the spools come with spacers.
do i have to use the spacers?
the silver part is the spacer.

have you tried putting them on? If you had, you would already know they won't fit without them. :)

I think I needed to use the spacers on the spools I put on. Just try it without and see how it sits. If it doesn't screw in all the way as the bolt doesn't fit all the way in, or if the spool itself contacts the swingarm too early, then use the spacers. Once you're sure how you're going to use them, only then put some loctite on the threads and screw it in the second time.

My Intuitive spools look just like that and I didnt need spacers.

One begins to wonder if the "Search" button has gotten as many uses as the "New Thread" button, as everything this week was covered last week.

I've got those spools and yes, you need to use the spacers. You risk bending the bolt as the spool will not sit flush without it.

Also have them. I found the spools wouldn't sit flush when using the spacers though. I filed the spacer down so it would fit flush with swingarm.
