While it is fine having random SmugMug gallery photos there does not seem to be any way to find the interesting ones again without trawling through 3200 photos (160 pages) to find them. Is there a an " FF" or "go to newest" control that I can't find?

Also, are we allowed to use the pics in posts (on here) as some of them are interesting for discussion?

All of the pics in that gallery can be linked freely on this site; that's how the portal and splash pages work anyway. When you are in the gallery (https://secure.smugmug.com/gallery/n-pvj96/), there is a control at the bottom of the pics on the left that says 1/128 (or whatever number of pages is appropriate for your size screen). Click it, and you can scroll to whatever page you like; the last page has the latest pics that have been loaded.

Other than that, no shortcuts to find any specific pics. I download/upload the ones that catch my eye to put them in the gallery; that's it.

Aha. That's what I was looking for. Obvious once you know. :)
