Ya they do. They don't make their own stuff though. Anything you see on their sight I can get made.

There are lots of nice farkles there that haven't made it over here yet. I don't know that we really even have an application for most of 'em, or even what some of them are called (that little finger thingy that goes on the left side swing arm that protects the sprocket, for example). But hey, it would be cool to have the option to purchase them!

get hot on getting those hid projectors made sir, lol. it would be nice if i can those .:D i was just thinking about those today and here they are.

ztrack157
June 23rd, 2009, 11:39 PM
I will look into it. I'm pretty sure they would be close to $300 or more though due to the amount of work that actually goes into making one of them.

richierich781
June 24th, 2009, 12:09 AM
That would be great. Personally $300 would be worth it. Its better that spending it on the crapp diy angel eyes on ebay where u have to break apart the headlight assembly and drill holes in it. Plus it will kill two birds with one stone by not having to do a separate hid conversion if these are made with ballast attached and just pluggin them in to the stock harness. I'm sure there would be a market for these here =).

June 24th, 2009, 12:15 AM
Probably would be a market. But if I were to make them I would not include HID's with the kit. I have never seen a headlight like this come with them. If you want H7 HIDs to go into it and come with it thats a $125 easily tacked on. My $300 was very conservative. But you can easily be looking at a $500 setup for just a headlight upgrade. I will talk to my guy and see if he can source them for me directly. You may get lucky and it may be cheap.

@g21-30 thank you for the information. The most surprising part for me is that i can understand the language. I don't know what kind of language they use in Indonesia, but it seems they have common words with Turkish and Arabic.

Good for you, bogdanb! I'm impressed.

Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) is the official national language of Indonesia. Don't worry, I didn't know that, but got it from wiki (google).

June 24th, 2009, 05:25 PM
Well people indonesia is the world largest concentration of Muslims worldwide. The language of choice is Arabic for the religion. Bahasa, English, and Dutch are the primary used languages. So I'm not suprised if Arabic would be used or atleast has influenced the Bahasa which is a derivitive of Malay. How do you like them apples? LOL I guess linguistic class wasn't a total waste.

lol what part of anything you see there I can get for you didn't you guys hear. If you go an get them yourself your going to get killed on shipping. JAMS does not make any of their own products. There is a guy in Jakarta known as the extreme mod god who makes them. I have been in talks with the guy about bring over some of his stuff. The guy on the forum doesn't respond to PM's I tried for months.

yea, i had my doubts about getting a response from them through the forums, but they do have a telephone number, and address of their workshop, i might just call them, since its a local call for me here, lol

i just posted the translations for the benefit of our forum readers since a fair few people were moaning about not understanding the descriptions.

Anyone trying to get prices and goods shipped over should best go through Matt i would imagine, since hes the one that is working on importing the goods over to that end of the globe from Jakarta, I'm just a bystander watching from all the way here, wishing i could get things that are only available in America. while you guys want things that are only available here... how typical we humans are xD

if anyone needs a hand with translating things from Indonesian forums, feel free to hit me up, if i have the time, and if i can understand their abbreviated slang, id be happy to help (using internet translators doesn't really work on Indonesian forums, they are riddled with abbreviation, and slang words, rofl~)

peace out.

Thanks Wayanlam. Sportisi is opening a shop in Bali. If you ever need anything go in there and ask for Santoso tell him Matt sent you. And tell him I said to hook you up with some deals.

wayanlam
June 25th, 2009, 12:52 AM
yeah, brahm already gave me the cell number of santoso a couple weeks back and told me to call him up when i want to see some of the sportisi stuff here in Bali. im still at the point of saving up after cashing out on the bike itself... so no major mods just yet for me.

however im really tempted to go with importing a full quiet AreaP exhaust + dinojet kit2 from the states. im still ripped between two worlds here.

i might just have to go see Santoso and maybe he has a ninja already fitted with their sportisi exhaust/rejetted, etc, so i can see for myself if their product is what i want/like.

are you from Indonesia yourself that you have this contact here, or just decided to get into this business venture of importing the sportisi goods over to the states as a little side hobby/job?

ps, my name is Wayan

We all know you can get them. We, as consumers don't mind more competitions. The more the better. That's the only way to control the price. Furthermore, you don't have to brag about your products and trash others'. If yours are made of high quality and the prices are right, then we will come to you. You keep saying that they don't make their own products. Do you actually make what you sell? Sometimes, you don't neccessarily have to make what you sell. You just have to carry the best products on the market at the best prices.

kazam58
June 25th, 2009, 08:48 AM
I don't think he's trying to brag that his parts are better by saying that JAMS doesn't make their own parts. What he was trying to get across was that he can talk to the actual manufacturer of the products and have them imported for much less than what you'd be paying to have them shipped from Jakarta or where ever they are.
And personally, I'd let Matt brag if he wants to, lol. He's bringing over parts we want for some ridiculously low prices. He's earned the right :p

I was trying to get across that I can source them for cheaper and thus get better deals for all of you. :) Not bragging. Wayan if you want an AP exhaust let me know and I will try to help you get one. As for the Dynojet kit sportisi is a dynojet distributor there in Indonesia. And this statred as a business venture but now I have several friends that work there. Bram is at the race track today so I hope he can find out prices forme on a few of the items you Guys see on JAMS. The Airscoop is certainly going to be made. I'm going to price the rear sets (since the ones I sold were ok but not as good as these I think) and headlight. I won't bring over theswingarm cover and hugger though because it is to close to the Sportisi one which started it all. Since they borrowed brams design without permission I don't feel right importing it plus it is competition within my own product base.

If you guys want something seen here please add it to the list:

Airscoop
Headlight
Rear set

jk jk~

thanks for the offer regarding the exhaust from AP, however i've been in touch with Kerry directly over in AP, and he's given me plenty of feedback, shipping prices / dimension / weight, etc.

and since AS sell dynojet kits for 79$ (i dont think it would make a difference in the shipping cost if they lob that in with the exhaust), ill save money if i get it from them at the same time. Sportisi quoted me the dynojet for $120 (excluding installation i believe). the 40 buks i save on the dynojet can compensate for the shipping a little :)

Other Ducati bikes have the scoop too... 848, 1198, etc. I'm not a big fan of that turned down "hook look" on the tip but I have LONG desired the air-scoop look and an undertail. The awesome integrated turn signals and, of course, the uniqueness are enough to make me ignore the "hook shape." HOW MUCH?!

Ok nm about previous post time will be needed theres only one left in stock.

These I can get for $225. And it comes painted. Cheapest way to get them is ocean freight with a month+ wait. and the price would be under $300 total or real close to it. The fast way and your looking at about a $400 tail.

The swing arm cover it a rip off of the sportisi one. The only made slight changes to it. The little air scoop I'm actually going to have made.

Actually, the hugger is a GSX 600 style one, so it's really a rip off of THAT. ;)

4484

Top: The GSX 600-style hugger and swingarm cover on a 250R.
Middle: An GSX 600 swingarm & hugger.
Bottom: An OEM GSX 600 hugger piece.

Nothing like Sportisi. As it stands, your Sportisi hugger matches the bike's style better (this ain't no GSX!), but the GSX one also has holes for mounting swingarm spools and the sideways plate holder. Looks possible to rig up a chain guard too. Perhaps Sportisi should incorporate that in a little update of their own? Regardless, I like Sportisi better and will be buying yours. :)

Some of the bikes in the Indonesian thread actually have the Sportisi cover... unless, of course, those are the knock-offs you were talking about (they were only visible on shots trying to sell something else).

Is that smaller piece for the other side or is it a spacer to compensate for the hanger not having bends? Only way I could see it working without a bend or two is by having angled mounting surfaces.

Well, they're the turn signals on a real 1098SS too. ;) It'd be easier to tell if they were red. I wish the tail light was more like the real 1098 too, but it's still "durned purty."

FWIW, modern GSXR bikes have integrated ducktail signals too.

So are the scoops ornamental on them too?? Might have to check out the 1098SS and see. Can't wait to get my tail in, kinda sucks that the weather here is crap though. It is cold and rainy today, hope that I might sneak in a quick ride this weekend before winterizing and bringing all the plastic in for the winter to work on it.

The << >> shaped ones integrated into the sides of the tail (kinda the definition of a "ducktail") behind the air-scoops (kinda like false vents for the scoops) and the \―\ /―/ slit ones integrated into the undertail.

Oddly enough I didn't notice the bottom ones....that are most likely going to be blocked by my plate, unless I can mount the plate just under those ones....will have to see when it gets here

Yeah... I didn't notice them until today either. A lot of people mount their plate deep in the wheel-well area with undertails like that, risking a ticket if the tire blocks visibility. Others mount it flush a bit higher, but they risk a ticket for sure. Still, others mount it sideways off of the swingarm like seen above (I've seen several around here doing it).

You can see the 2 bolts at the tip that they intend for mounting an undertail plate holder (I think you can see it on page 1 of this tread...really ugly poor design) that would definately block those signals

so what's the deal 400? shipped to NC? just for the tail? and did you need special brackets to mount these or what's the specs....?

divingtigger
November 11th, 2009, 02:54 PM
$225 to buy it $75 to ship from where ever they are to Matt and then to me, not that bad of a deal seeming how all the lights are included and built in, not to mention that it is the right colour and that I will be the only one to have it in Canada (I'm hoping) and from the sounds of it the only one on this board so far......can't really put a price on that. Most likely won't get it mounted till next April (winter here snow any day now) but pics will be coming

ztrack157
November 11th, 2009, 03:31 PM
$225 was the cost for me to buy it (more now since the dollar is in the pits)+ shipping to me $25 + whatever the eventual shipping is to Canada is what Rob is paying (estimate of $50 if its a little less I keep the difference if its a little more then Rob pays it which shouldn't happen). I did this just to get one over here. If there is interest I would say to expect a $400 price tag and it being a special order product due to limited availability and the pain in the butt of acquiring them.

yeah, the under tail exhaust would look so good imo. according to the blogger that posted the pic this exhaust was a 1 time mod by someone over here in Jakarta. they spent about $550 getting it made, but there was a noticeable power loss, possibly due to the long pipe needed.

good to hear that the guys over at sportisi are taking their time to get it right when making theirs, to maximize the power with this sexy looking mod :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v86/wayanlam/ForKawiForums.jpg

another mod alltogether, but also really nice:
here they used parts from aprillia and a gsx (kinda vague guesswork by the blogger lol) however the final result looks great too, with the upside down forks and the double disk brakes.

wouldnt mind adding this to my mod wish list

Hey Yall, got my tail the other day, so the scoop is all the way through. The only turn signals are the ones mounted on the undertail. The nice thing about the turn signals is you can change the colour of them depending on how you have them hooked up. You can have them Red, Yellow or Blue (might be more, haven't played around with it that much).

That brake light is super bright, I was worried about how small it is but it is definitely bright enough

If I ever get the POS to fit properly I'll take a ton of pics. Nothing is lining up or fitting properly, a bunch of the nuts that were glued in place fell off. Gonna have to drill a whole lot of holes to get it to fit properly, not to mention that I'm going to have to modify it somehow to get the side pieces back on. Once it's on I never plan on taking it off. A lesser man would have said F*&K it by now and dump it....I'm pretty close to that point, all I want to do is ride and not work on the bike

The ones that I think that are causing the problems are the ones that mount the stock undertail, the one I got has cutouts for those brackets to slide through. I was kinda rushing it tonight to see how it all fits together. Before I drill holes for the license bracket I want to get everything else lining up. Maybe tomorrow I'll take my time and work it one hole at a time and see if I can get it to make more sense. But ya I'll take pics of any that give me problems....but ya starting to see how inferior their FG is to the Sportisi stuff

yeah, i know, but it was the only pic i found of some grinder action

had nothing to do with your post, i was just wondering if it would require "THAT" kind of modding, he he.

but i heard that there was someone here (at the same workshop) putting on a custom single seater on their 250 and also just chopped parts of the tail frame section to make it fit. but no idea what that looks like.

i still miss my 150RR though :( sold the lil bugger to get the 250~

wish i could get some of that spontaneous acceleration that the 150 has on our 250s.

but, all in all, im happier with the 250 for the daily commute. the pros are:

no kick starting,
dont end up driving 130km/h down some small streets,
dont have the whizzing mosquito 2 stroke sound,
dont need to clean out the S/ KIPS air system every month or two months (pain in the ass),
and last but not least, the 250 looks like a bigger bike that it actually is, lol...

im still looking forward to see the pics of the under-tail exhaust that the guys over at sportisi have put together , and im curious to see how much work is involved to put that together, and finally the $$ ;)

rofl, ill take your word for it then!

but yeah, i already went to their sportisi Bali worshop several times. i was planning on getting the new CDI from them last year, but then i left for a ski holiday, and spent all of my money, ops...

im gonna get the TIS CDI from sportis, cos they have the dyno, so they can make sure that they dial it in as best they can.

i just bought a K&N pod filter, so once that is in, and the carbs are all jetted properly i plan to do the last performance mod and get the BRT TIS :) (or maybe second last... there is still the replacement carbs that is available for the 250s "Sudco Part#016-3205 for the Keihin FCR31"

Once you settle on your carb setup (or even before) might consider putting it in the database so others can learn.

im not sure what those #105 mains are :(

i bought the mains on their own because i already had a factory pro jet kit.

now all that's left of the factory pro kit are the needles, lol

the #40 pilot jets i got are original from Kawasaki.

i have a feeling that i might need to play around with the mains. gotta wait and see how she pulls from 3/4 to red-line once i get a clear enough road.

I've been a little lazy to post on the jetting database, but ill get round to that sooon! :p

i tried to red line the bike this morning on my way to work, but didnt have enough space on the road, but i have a feeling that when i almost reached redline, the bike coughed and spluttered (too rich?). i am not sure if i hit the cut off, or if it was the new jetting, will have to test that out again once i find a better stretch of road.
