Schedule for 2016 season announced

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- With the season finale poised to take place in Las Vegas this Saturday, the American Motorcyclist Association once again congratulates the 2015 AMA Supercross Champions, thanks its partners for another successful year and begins to look forward to the 2016 season.

"AMA Supercross is one of motorsports' true success stories, but that success doesn't happen without the hard work of the racers, crew, our AMA officials and promoting partners of the championship -- and of course the support of the fans," said AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman. "Feld Motor Sports has helped elevate AMA Supercross into a world-class show that features the highest level of competition."

Also important to the operational success of AMA Supercross is the Asterisk Mobile Medical Center, which provides a range of emergency medical care at the events.

"We're very appreciative of the work of the Asterisk Mobile Medical Center and its support of AMA Supercross operations," said AMA Director of Supercross Kevin Crowther. "Keeping the riders and track crew safe is critical, and the professional and experienced Asterisk team has proven to be both responsive and effective in managing medical-related issues."

The 2015 AMA Supercross 450SX title was locked up by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Ryan Dungey at the Houston round on April 11. Star Racing Yamaha's Cooper Webb also clinched the AMA Supercross 250SX West title at that round.

Two rounds later in East Rutherford, N.J., on April 25, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Marvin Musquin won the 2015 AMA Supercross 250SX East title.

The final round of the 2015 season is tomorrow, May 2, at Las Vegas' Sam Boyd Stadium.
