Got it on Saturday, I've been busy for the 4th and such plus riding it has sapped my time :)

This thing is a pure treat to ride.

Its a 2009 Ninja 250R

The bike is real fast. Now before you guys say its a sissy bike let me say this for those that don't know, I RODE A SCOOTER BEFORE! Never complained about the speed on that but this bike boogies. I can't even rev it past 6K rpm and I have 15K RPM. The bike pulls at that speed. I was returning a video and the guy was going 40ish in a 35. When I sped up a little bit he would too. I just twisted the throttle a 1/4 of the way. I bolted to 50 MPH in a blink. It does feel nice to know I have that power under my butt. I love this thing. It gets great gas millage too. Its very light and nimble. I really am going to hold onto this bike for a long while. People say you WILL get sick of the underpoweredness but like I said my roots where on the scooter.

I am getting real good at shifting it too now. Even when the bike is broke in I am not going to be driving like a douchebag. I do look forward to being able to take it on the highway once its broken in so I can visit some of my friends that I would normally have to drive to there house. All my bike gear is great too that I bought. I am one truly happy guy! :)

I put the bike in 1st gear when I downshifted to make a left turn and the back tire kicked out about an inch at 10-15mph. Woke me up fast! I got scared! I am going to take it real slow and stay in second gear at those mph's.

As long as your moving above walking speed, forget about first gear, you will never miss it.

Do you guys know what the max speed for each gear is like example

1st is good for 20mph
2nd is good for 35mph.

What is the max speed per gear on this bike? That would really help me out a lot.

Check out this site (http://www.gearingcommander.com/), it has stock gearing info for a whole pile of bikes. For a stock new-gen ninjette, redline (13000 rpm) in each gear is something close to:

1st: 36 mph
2nd: 53 mph
3rd: 67 mph
4th: 81 mph
5th: 94 mph
6th: 105 mph

Those mph are actual, not indicated, so your speedometer might be showing you a slightly higher (false) speed than actual. Most stock bikes won't pull til 13000 rpm in top gear either.

by the time I'm at 40 mph I'm already in 6th gear...I shift at about 6000 rpm

Mike, unless you are stopped or on a steep incline, you won't normally need 1st gear - I usually don't hit it until I am about to put my foot down... also, the table that Alex gave you is for top speeds - that doesn't mean you should wait until then to shift... you will shift far before that point in most cases :)
