i was talking to kkim and he mentioned something about honda having a warehouse for leftover models.

i did a quick google search and it seems others have bought bikes through this method.

http://vfrworld.com/forums/sixth-generation-2002-2009/24304-leftover-2007-rwbs-hondas-warehouses.html

i tried to join that forum so that i can ask a question, but i am still waiting for the email saying that my application has been approved.

anyways, has anyone here heard of buying from a leftover warehouse? who do you buy through? the dealer? the local dealer said that they will give $600 off the msrp of an 08 and $1,200 off of an 07. doesn't seem like much of a discount compared to the deal the guy on the other forum got.

any more info on this topic would be greatly appreciated. btw, i am thinking of getting the 08 honda interceptor with abs.

edit: oh, the approval email was sent to my junk mail box. i will also ask there... but still, any info would be appreciated. thanks again

thanks!

so the 07 shows a savings of about $3620 for the anniversary edition with abs versus $700 off ($1,200 for non-special edition model). do you think that discrepancy is because we live on a rock and it costs $2900 more to ship it here?

Someone's moving on up! Gonna sell your 250?

not for the reason you may think, but yes.

basically my wife has severe arthritis. she enjoys the idea of riding with me, but it is just to painful on her knees to ride on the back of the 250. we have considered either a cruiser, tourer, or sport tourer. we have seen different models and think a sport tourer would be a reasonable compromise. my wife sat on the interceptor and found it very comfortable for her. not 100% set on that bike, but it seems that is the one we will be getting.

our tandem parking stall in our condo won't allow more than 2 cars and 1 bike, so the 250 will have to go. won't be for a month or so before i try to sell it though.

why? you know someone who wants to buy it? i will give you a finder's fee :D

Can't help you with selling the ol' ninjette, but I'm sure it'll go fast.

Arthritis at such a young age? That stinks. At least she's still keen on riding. You need a sidecar! Kikaida, not Kamen Rider!

Is there a new link for this site. Remember looking at it when it was posted, but the link is not good anymore. Just curious if they have anything left.

Stopped by to see a buddy of mine last friday who does set up and pdi at the local dealer. He was delivering a brand new 2007 RWB intereceptor with ABS. He didn't know what the price was on that one. Sporty yet comfortable ergos for sure.

I've seen them all on ebay was just wondering if anyone had a new link to this. I'm still thinking more toward a Versys, but am looking at everything (including the Ulysses).

Ask on the Badweb, lots of people love them and bought second bikes since the price crashed last month. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/discus.cgi?pg=topics

Saw a Buell 1125R brand new at a dealership for about $6,500 if only I had a job at the moment.

For that $$ you could get a good used bike instead of a new Buell :p

1125R were going for $5,000 brand new, so I hope that is the out the door price after tax and tags.
