I just took a short trip to my former trucking company employer to visit friends. They had a new scale installed 2 weeks ago. I put my lil ninja on it. My bike weighs 330-340 lbs The scale is calibrated but only gives readings on the 10's. When I stepped off the scale it read 330lbs for a second or two and then jumped to 340. My guess is 335lbs.

Anyone else try this?

The mags say that the new-gen weighs 370ish with a full fuel load. Pregens are around 340ish with a full fuel load. A full tank will weigh somewhere around 33 pounds, so a newgen with an empty tank should be around 335 - 340.

Well I filled the tank a while ago and had only rode 51 miles when I put her on the scale.
Alex do you know the weight difference between the stock farings and the hotbodies kit?

Nope, I don't. But I don't think fairings in general are particularly heavy. I'd imagine the race glass would be lighter, but only by a handful of pounds at most.

I weighed mine on the in-ground scales at work. With roughly a half-tank of fuel it went 161kg. Not very scientific, but I guess that makes it around the 325-330lb mark.

161 kg = 355 pounds, right? With a half tank of fuel, that sounds right in line with what the magazines got, about 370ish with a full tank (335ish with an empty tank).

Yep, that sounds about right. I just did some rough maths in my head.....guess I just proved I don't really have a head for figures :o , but you're right it does pretty much jell with what the mags say.
