The Benelli Leoncino could well be a cheap and cheerful alternative to the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2

Triumph, Ducati, BMW, Moto Guzzi and now Benelli (http://www.fasterandfaster.net/search/label/Benelli) - the number of manufacturers making a 'scrambler' just keeps on increasing. The legendary Italian company, which is now Chinese-owned, have created a near clone of the Ducati Scrambler with the new Leoncino, which is powered by a Euro4 compliant 500cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected DOHC parallel-twin that produces 48bhp and 45Nm of torque. The chassis is a steel tube trellis-type unit, while suspension duties are handled by a 50mm USD fork at front and preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.

Other notable bits on the Benelli (http://www.fasterandfaster.net/search/label/Benelli) Leoncino include its 15-litre fuel tank, 6-speed transmission, twin 320mm brake discs at front with radial-mount 4-piston calipers (!!), LED headlamp and 170kg unladen weight. The bike rides on 19-inch (front) and 17-inch (rear) wheels, shod with 110/80 and 150/70 dual-purpose rubber.

The Leoncino looks pretty alright to us, even though the styling is a straightforward Ducati rip-off. Still, if you've always wanted a cheap and cheerful scrambler for Sunday morning rides, this might be it. Will be interesting to see how much cheaper less expensive it is, compared to the 400cc Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 (http://www.fasterandfaster.net/2015/11/2016-ducati-scrambler-sixty2-flat-track.html).
