PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- Each guest who brings a new, unwrapped toy to the American Motorcyclist Association's Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, located in Pickerington, Ohio, will receive free admission into the museum, a $10 value, through Dec. 14.

"This is the second year that we have been an official drop-off location for the program," said Connie Fleming, manager of events and operations for the museum. "Motorcyclists are giving people, and we hope that these toys will make the holidays brighter for many children."

The museum was founded in 1990 by the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation to provide a permanent home to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, which celebrates and preserves the rich tradition of motorcycling in America through the recognition of its greatest heroes. Displays rotate every year.

The main floor of the museum celebrates Hall of Fame inductees by featuring the bikes and memorabilia of those who have elevated motorcycling to new heights. The Birth of a Hurricane exhibit spotlights how Hall of Famer Craig Vetter reimagined the BSA brand for the American market. The Sam Swope exhibit showcases its namesake's philanthropic side, displaying anniversary-themed Harley-Davidson motorcycles won at Muscular Dystrophy Association events. A portion of the museum also has on display a collection of more than 1,000 motorcycle-inspired toys.

The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week and will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Regular admission is $10 for adults, $3 for students ages 12-17, free for children 11 and under, and there is a family rate of $25. AMA members gain admission for just $5. School, youth and group visits are available upon request. Please call (614) 856-1900 for scheduling and pricing options.
