So I needed a mount for my Nokia 6110 Navigator phone after I found that leaving it in the clear map section of my tank bag still required me to constantly look down and away from the road. Ended up buying this:

Adjustable Universal Bicycle Mount for Cell Phone/GPS/PDA Gadgets

and with some modifications, it can fit our 250s pretty securely. I say pretty securely because I've only tried it for over a week. If it lasts my trip to Portland I'll say it's fully secure! Here are my pics of it mounted. This mount will work in landscape or portrait mode but a full on gps unit might be hard to fit or too heavy. So I would say it's best for a cellphone or a GPS cellphone.

Modifications necessary:
- need to glue on the back plate because the 4 mounting tabs aren't secure.
- need to trim the handlebar mounts about 1/2 inch on each side so that it fits in the empty space on our handlebars (beside the choke lever).
- use only 1 of the provided 2 plastic grip pieces
- you'll see in my picture I have a phone strap wrapped around the screw - this is extra security to make sure if the phone back plate or mount breaks the phone won't fly away freely.

I leave the GPS in my see thru tank bag. My cell phone is paired to the Cardo Scala Multi Set Bike to Bike headset. Cell phone is in my inside jacket pocket. The bluetooth capability is all voice activated and it auto cuts in if I'm using the headset for MP3, Bike to Bike, or FM activity. No fuss, no muss. "Look ma..... no hands!" I have since voice activated "911" just in case I'm layin in the middle of a roadway with helmet on....you can never depend on someone callin for you anymore.

Can't go wrong with a deal like that. I ordered the gps aqua box with mount from gps city and can't wait till it gets here.

Great heads up on the phone holder. Let us know how it holds up.

I use a Joe Rocket Manta with GPS holder and a cell phone holder. I looked at the aqua box because it looks as though it would fit right above the speedo under the double bubble.

I be very interested to know how the aqua box works out and where you put it.

I'll post pics when i get it all set up. I'm gonna try to set it up like headshrink did in the thread below but i don't have the double bubble so i'll see how i can play around with it. If all else fails i'll just install it on the handlebar. Got the u bolt set up just in case the 9mm mounting hole w/ offset angle ball doesn't work for me. I'll eventually buy a new windshield in the future if they go on sale.

Thanks for the link.

That is location.

The DB gives you a little more space to fit a Garmin NUVI perfectly above the speedo in line of sight. I'm thinking of engineering my own plate to magnetically link to a Speck tough skin GPS cover.

I went about the wiring a little differently by installing a Casco weather-proof 12 volt outlet just to the right side fork with zip ties. This lets me run phone charger, GPS, MP3, microwave and heater at will.

I look forward to seeing your install.

ya I'll keep an eye on the other post cause those look pretty secure. Update on the $6 mount - it lasted 4 full days of riding/touring before the entire back piece came off. It looks like it was only held in with a small nut. Main problem, though, was that it would always hit my tank bag in the slower speeds/parking lot maneuvers. So I may give it another try since I won't be touring again for awhile (aka no tank bag)
