up for grabs. already sold my games. its an immaculate 160 gig ps3 no probs at all. no scratches no dents dings scuffs. comes with everything from original box minus the drakes fortune game. 450 obo. prefer not to ship but will deliver within 50 miles of me. any further asking to meet half way. pm for pics

I don't believe this is backward compatible.
Only the 40gb and those early 60gb are.

im sorry dude it's not backwards compatible. if you meet half way i'll drop it down to $375 cash in hand that is the lowest i'll go. this is one of the newer ones. got it in january right after xmas

No. The 20GB, 60GB, and early 80GB are. None of the 40GB units are BC.

Yeah, Sony's good at confusing everyone. What's worse is that the 60GB PAL PS3s have the partial BC of the early 80GB NTSC PS3s!

I use my launch 60GB unit almost every day... as a BD player/PS2. ;) Next-gen games are just so much cheaper (and better) on PC.

On another note, all PS3s can emulate PSX games (part of being able to sell them as PSN downloads) and, therefore, also support original PSX game discs. I guess there is an element of backwards compatibility to them all. :)
