HKr1 August 23rd, 2009, 06:57 PM Guess they stopped the rf-1000 camber line up.... it came in a few colors, green was one(pic). The TZ-R comes green, I wonder how they differ from the rf-1000. < other than $30 less. Sound Wave August 23rd, 2009, 07:09 PM i heard that the rf-1000 is being replaced. if you really want one, why don't you just get one in black? that way, it will match whatever you are wearing. here is shoei's new helmet. not sure if this is the one replacing the rf-1000 though: VeKfEBLEIlI&NR=1 the bad thing about the rf-1000 is that only the cheek pads are changable. if they are being phased out though, then you should be able to get one at a great price soon. I have a TZ-R, and while I love it and am a Shoei man for life, the venting leads something to be desired. I tried on an RF-1000, and it was like wearing a pillow. God I love these god damn helmets. Green just makes me think of slime, or snot, or mold, or anything else disgusting. I'd never own a green helmet, much less a green bike. Apparently I am an RF-1000 designer in a parallel universe. True story. b534202 August 25th, 2009, 02:50 PM i heard that the rf-1000 is being replaced. if you really want one, why don't you just get one in black? that way, it will match whatever you are wearing. M2010 helmets come out in October. There'll be a bunch of helmets being replaced. muffinman August 27th, 2009, 03:26 PM Forget the RF-1000, for a similar price you can pick up Shark's top of the line (for now) RSR2. I've had both and while their both quality lids, the RSR2 *blows* the Shoei out of the water (comfort, ECE > Snell, ventilation, weight, and Shark's 3mm thick visor). muffinman August 27th, 2009, 03:34 PM Forget the RF-1000, for a similar price you can pick up Shark's top of the line (for now) RSR2.
