Some states (like Florida) won't allow that sort of thing. I hope you checked with your states laws on that before doing the change. I'd hate to hear you got a ticket over something so stupid as where the bloody plate is located.

:o I'm sorry to tell you,but your bike has the looks only a mother could love :o

Reminds me of my first car(1960 Ford Falcon)that i got for $50 when i was twelve years old. It had at least four different colors that were peeling off to show the original black underneath it all. It ran ok but burnt so much oil it had a smoke screen behind it.
Anyway at the time i thought it was the greatest. :o:o:o

It's not legal:
Sec. 3‑413 (b) Every registration plate shall at all times be securely fastened in a horizontal position to the vehicle for which it is issued so as to prevent the plate from swinging and at a height of not less than 5 inches from the ground, measuring from the bottom of such plate, in a place and position to be clearly visible and shall be maintained in a condition to be clearly legible, free from any materials that would obstruct the visibility of the plate, including, but not limited to, glass covers and plastic covers. Registration stickers issued as evidence of renewed annual registration shall be attached to registration plates as required by the Secretary of State, and be clearly visible at all times. http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ilcs/ilcs4.asp?DocName=062500050HCh.+3&ActID=1815&ChapAct=625%26nbsp%3BILCS%26nbsp%3B5%2F&ChapterID=49&ChapterName=VEHICLES&SectionID=28321&SeqStart=33200000&SeqEnd=61700000&ActName=Illinois+Vehicle+Code.

Just go without a plate, looks real clean that way.

And Hell, the ticket for no plate is cheaper than an improperly placed one :)

Saw a 14R at the service dept the other day who did that to his. Not only that his inspection sticker was expired (1/09).... I thought the plate relocation on his looked kind of 1/2 baked and a definate add-on type look.. so I'm suspecting if his inspection was out dated I'm sure the relocation isn't by the book either :)

I got a ticket from the illinois state PIG for my license plate being mounted under the tail, with the bikelitez kit...It depends on the PIG, I see cruisers with their plates mounted like that all the time...

A guy riding an R1 came into my work last week with that kind of mount. He was buying some stupid LED's to illuminate the plate because his other light bar flew off when he was doing 140 on the highway..
