Well here is the story. My motor went out with 2,000 miles on it ( a loose coolant line and blown temp warning light so I was screwed). Kawi told me to go F---- myself and blamed it on my jet kit which was stupid. I decided to part it out to get some cash to pay off the balance which was stupid. After everything was almost gone I found a new motor with 43 mils on it for $300. I though to myself hmm should I. Well here I am still. That was a year ago in october.

Any how should be done next week.

Looks like it is coming along nicely. What kind of headlight is that? Is that how the tail section sits of was that just put in place for the pics. How much is the whole body kit?

It's an e55 bmw projector. I think I need to re adjust it for some better visibility which will suck. The tail is just sitting there for the picture. Go to the site for pricing but it will be going down slightly. I literally got the second kit ever made so I can tell they were still learning when it was made:rolleyes:. I'm going to order a second kit in the next shipment and go crazy with the paint.

The site only has a price for unpainted. I'll send you a PM about buying a kit

ztrack157
September 13th, 2009, 01:40 PM
$150 for decent quality painting which is still cheaper than painting it here.

Much cheaper I like the other undertail better though

Pm me for kit questions or post in the thread in classifieds. This is not a sales thread and the second prices get thrown around I will be banned to the classifieds yet again.

Ok so I guess I have a total of about 6 more hours left in this build before it is done:thumbup: I'm waiting on my levers, mirrors, brake line, and a new gauge surround. A nice polish, drill two holes, mount the cyberdyne, and some minor tweaking on the projector then this bad boy is ready to go.

ztrack157
October 6th, 2009, 04:02 PM

ztrack157

Nothing I just sold them. I'm putting X race on my bike because I sell them and I want to promote my stuff as much as I can.

Well its done for now. I have a Brembo caliper for it and plan on using the RPM shock too. But that will be in a couple months when my other new body kit comes in with the new paint job.

Overall I am happy its back together and I get to ride it again. That said the learning curve with this body kit is interesting to say the least especially since it is not intended to be run on the street as a full kit. Takes alot of patience which I lack. The fit is nice and I am satisfied. The head light gave me the most trouble. It's still not toally perfect to my standards but now I know how to set it up correctly. Anyhow a year to the day after the motor went out the bike is now road worth again.

YOu could probably write off the cost as a promotional item (or at least you could in Canada).

Looks really good though, wish I would have bought the body kit instead of crap for panels. Might still pick up some side pieces

You tail is shipping to me on Monday Rob. We are working on the jet kit the first three rounds of needles were not up to expectations. This last batch should be a winner.

No rush... however we are getting an unseasonably warm spell, I was out in a t-shirt putting up xmas lights yesterday, tons of bikes around too. We are getting highs in the teens (Celsius) the last couple weeks. Usually we have snow by now

I'll have fairings two if you want to fiddle with them.

Heading to Vegas in a couple weeks, I'll let you know how I make out, or if I scrape some cash together...Just give me a couple days warning before you ship the tail and I'll let you know if you can add them to the shipment

can a bracket be fabbed up to hold the brake line down as well? looks like weird with the line curled up like that.
