Video Inspiration: Eat Sleep Ride - Erik Buell

The second installment in the seven-part SyncRide series from EatSleepRide (http://feeds.feedblitz.com/~/t/0/0/rideapart/~app.eatsleepride.com/)TV features motorcycle engineer/racer/manufacturer Erik Buell of Wisconsin. Starting on the square in East Troy, the camera follows Buell along the country roads, accompanied by his own narration.

“I think racing made me a better rider,” he says, “because I’ve got more spare change. I don’t use every cent when I’m riding (on the road), so I’ve got more time to react.” Buell gives some background on his own approach to both building and riding motorcycles.

“I really build bikes because I want to give people a better ride, to give people that experience. I love sportbikes, not so much for the speed, although it’s fun once in awhile, but I like bikes that are really light and super handling… Like they’re one part of your body, enjoying that kind of dance with the bike.”

Buell enjoys both the relaxation and focus of riding. “I’m part of this machine, going down the road.*I’m vulnerable, but I’m free.”
