I rode 200km last Sunday morning on roads like that but not so high only 4000 to 5000 feet I was really pleased that I had my long johns on as it was down to 5˚C. As for motorcycle heaven the speed limit is 80kph (50mph) on these roads and there are plenty of speed traps.

Yes they are 30 kph over the limit on roads like that and they take your license off you for a month and a $200 fine start going really fast and you are walking for a year.

Switzerland IS heaven for sure. I never had any run-ins with the cops, even though I was doing way over the speed limit at all times when I was visiting there haha. Started from lake Como in Italy, rode up to interlaken, then north down into France. here's some pics:

The wife and I went on a motorcycle trip through Europe a few years ago, and I can concur with this thread. Gorgeous roads, great experience! :thumbup:
