t-cab12 : I have the S-W Motech rack from Twisted Throttle. Pricey, but worth it. It's a very high quality piece, plus it looks good when not in use. The only other rack option for the 250 is the Ventura rack. Personally I think the Ventura is pretty ugly. It also requires clamps to mount a topcase bracket, which is something I would avoid doing. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/sw-motech-alu-rack-toprack-kawasaki-ninja-250-08

t-cab12 : A word of advice. My topcase is 28 liters, and my Shoei helmet barely fits inside. There's absolutely no room in it for anything else. You'll probably want one with a 35 to 40 liter capacity.

I have a 2002 ninjette and the S-W Motech rack. I attached a 56 qt. Plano box to the rack. I added a 3/8” thick plastic cutting board to the inside of the box to provide rigidity. Bolts go through rack, box, and plastic cutting board.

This has enough room for helmet, jacket, gloves, etc. when parked. I can fit 2 grocery bags, or a case of wine and a grocery bag after shopping. (Try to bring home a case of wine home in a backpack!)

Not real "sporty" but super practical. Nice job!

I have a spare seat that's made of gorilla tape and faith. I drilled a few holes in it and bolted on a sturdy HDPE plastic bin with a lid. Works great!

Thanks! Yes not very "sporty" at all. I forgot to include "It's kind of cheesy looking", before hitting the post button last night. It does get the job done though.
