I've never checked my warm temps. What should you aim for when warm? nate-bama October 25th, 2009, 06:23 PM i allways see a 4-5 psi increase on my rear and a 2-4 psi in the front..but i have not been scientific about my checks. I'm sure the high end was after i'd been hitting some twisties and the low end warm after driving 8 miles or so to the nearest compressor null0 October 25th, 2009, 06:34 PM 29-31/34-35 on Sport Demon's. kkim October 25th, 2009, 06:43 PM 29-31/34-35 on Sport Demon's. what are the 34-35 numbers? null0 October 25th, 2009, 06:47 PM Between 29PSI and 31PSI in the front and between 34PSI and 35PSI in the back. The ambient outdoor temperature where I live in CA can vary by as much as 40 degrees going through different micro climates. So I don't have any really hard number that works everywhere. Edit: those are warmed up tempatures. kkim October 25th, 2009, 06:50 PM thanks for the clarification. have you tried lower pressures? I have a hard time riding when the rear is above 32. Tire starts to skip at times and seems to loose traction, plus the bike just feels harsh. :( null0 October 25th, 2009, 06:58 PM thanks for the clarification. have you tried lower pressures? I have a hard time riding when the rear is above 32. Tire starts to skip at times and seems to loose traction, plus the bike just feels harsh. :( I don't have any problem with the rear at 34-35. I think that's because I'm on the heavy side at 215 lbs in gear. nate-bama October 25th, 2009, 07:08 PM 29-31/34-35 on Sport Demon's. ok is that hot or cold..like if you hop on the bike and ride it a few miles is that when you get your readings..or is it in your driveway b4 you ride ok i can't pay attention 35 psi warm..hhmmnnn.. i think the slip i've felt b4 is probably from getting my tires hot at a high psi..35+ ? I always thought i was hitting gravel or what not komohana October 26th, 2009, 12:08 AM 28/28 Apex October 26th, 2009, 05:44 AM We are supposed to check the tire pressure?????? lol I can't remember what I run mine at. I'll check that this week. komohana October 26th, 2009, 09:38 PM riding the 250 vs the 700 'ceptor, it seems that slight tire pressure changes are WAY more noticeable than i recall them being on the larger bike. maybe it's just me but....damm what difference just a few psi makes. k den :ride: nate-bama October 27th, 2009, 02:07 PM riding the 250 vs the 700 'ceptor, it seems that slight tire pressure changes are WAY more noticeable than i recall them being on the larger bike. maybe it's just me but....damm what difference just a few psi makes. k den :ride: i'll agree totally on that..:) |
