I have been noticing that I don't see a lot of older bikes around here. As far as sport bikes (defining as fully faired bikes), I hardly see ANY of these.... Since I am not that interested in cruisers, and thus am not as familiar with them, I can't be certain I don't see older cruisers, but I don't see many that are obviously old.
What gives? Are they all wrecked, broken, don't last long, or what?

I dunno Bob. Probably 40-50% of the bikes here are fully faired sport bikes, but I live in a college town so that's to be expected.
Edited to add: It's also squid central here.

That could be the case. :D
My wife wouldn't stop me from getting one, but she wouldn't be happy. I like a happy wife. :)

Honestly tons of people view sportbikes as "disposable bikes". You wreck it, toss it aside and buy another one.

Are we talking old bikes or old bikeRs. It seems like the answers are both here. In southern RI I see many old bikers, many riding HD and BMW. I also see some bikes from late 90's early 2000 on the road, sportbikes that is.
