Hey Mike, I might be in as well. Are you talking about the regular Azusa canyon? (9 miles then turning around and going back?).

Looks like we got a ride. Meeting place has been changed to allow for pre-ride gas/food/water

These are the only times I wished I still lived in socal. I used to ride that stuff on my mountain bike back when I was in school there... things moved a LOT slower then, and most of my day was spent inching uphill (wife liked my arse though).

I'm checking the thread at 9:00am. If I don't have any definites, then I probably will go spin on the bicycle for a bit instead...

I am seriously considering it, unless I oversleep or have to much hangover.

Im leaning towards no, I have to work in the morning and probably won't have enough time to get there sorry :(

also just read this from another site

"I just got back from Azusa/GMR. Heavy road work again on Azusa. The digital signs says 20 minute delays and we waited at least that long. GMR was cleaner than it has been in a while but there was heavy traffic from the work trucks. Also, backside was still wet from the night's chill, so be carefull in the morning shadows."

Mike, (Diablo250) and I met up and rode the hills. This is a excellent ride one that I would like to ride again sometime and I HIGHLY recommend it to everybody, although novice riders, and I still count myself as one, should take it REAL easy. Lots of twistys, but ALOT of them had gravel/sand in the curves. Mike was in the lead and seems like he had his leg pointing out the stuff on the road more than not. Some of the turns were 180's or what I call switchbacks. We took it slow and easy since neither one us had ridden the route we took before. Lots of beautiful scenery there. Saw quite a few other bikers, but no where as many as I saw on ACH back in June before the fire. Speaking of fires, alot of this area was charred from the Morris Dam fire from several months ago. We rode past the dam as we were leaving Azusa. Before anyone post the :worthlesswithoutpic smilie, here are a few pics that I took. We had to leave right after we took these. Two bikers rode by and one was riding a Daytona 675SE, and my drooling started creating a mudslide.

Some of the charred mountains. Enough reason to be careful when in areas that are easily set ablaze
