From all reports it was operating in the black which is certainly better than many companies. null0 November 1st, 2009, 12:32 PM Bikebandit is running a promo deal (http://www.motorcycleshows.com/bikebandit) for a free $15 gift certificate to the first 35,000 people that buy tickets online. Also, if you plan on doing a demo ride, get there really early. Alex November 1st, 2009, 02:46 PM From all reports it was operating in the black I haven't seen any reports of this anywhere. The only related information was that Harley said they never release financials of smaller portions of their business like Buell. They very well could have been making money, or losing money, but nobody other than those with the actual accounting and financial numbers in house would be able to tell us for sure. Greg_E November 1st, 2009, 04:16 PM Someone on one of the Buell forums pulled some data out of a stockholders reports. Harley motor company was actually still in the black, but harley financial was way into the red and pulled the whole thing down. From what was said Buell was barely in the black but could (probably) have been turning a bigger profit if they had the full backing of the marketing department. Alex November 1st, 2009, 04:56 PM It's all speculation. Buell P/L was never released to the public, nor was any other P/L for anything other than Harley as a whole & Harley financial. The only folks stating that Buell was making money are Buell owners. :) The financial arm was in some real trouble, and bankruptcy of the entire enterprise wasn't such a farfetched thought.
