They are nice looking bikes and priced very well but I've heard the quality is a bit lacking. If they put FI on our bikes Kawi may price themselves out of the entry level market.

And they aren't doing that now with the carbs?

Damn. I checked the Kawi site and the bike had a $4,300 msrp! Gone up about 1k since 08. I can't imagine how much more they would charge for FI.

When I started looking into motorcycles a few years back I heard similar stories about Hyosung. However, the 2009s are supposed to be a significant improvement over the 2008s in terms of build quality and finish.

In terms of performance, the comet (unfaired version) is heavier and slower than the 250r. I'm assuming the gt (faired version) is around the same. But DAMN if those bikes arn't sexy :)
