The first American session of the year was topped by Jinathan Rea and his ex-teammate Tom Sykes, continuing their British duel on from last weekend, with the pair beinf the only riders to get into the 1'23s. Toprak Razgatlioglu was the best of the rest ahead of Alex Lowes and Michael van der Mark. Chaz Davies, his familiarity with the American track shining through,*kept his teammate Alvaro Bautista at bay.
