I know S.F. Bay Area traffic is insane, but was wondering how it compares to others. My latest contract has me going back to S.F. (35-miles). To have good-looking hair, I drove my car first day and it took 2.5-hrs along with $7 toll an $24 parking. So back on bike I go!!! :D Half-priced toll and free parking is hard to resist!

I live just over a mile and a half from my building one direction, and three miles to my other building the other. But, one being on a college campus and one being off, parking on campus is expensive (for Kansas) and never easy. So I always ride. It takes about 4 minutes to get to campus, about 10 to get to our off campus building I oversee. The motorcycle lets me park right next to the door. The walk from where I would have to park on campus to my building takes twice as long as riding from home.

I did used to ride 90 minutes each way to college for two years on a 250 scooter....

45 minutes in the car. Need a truck for work to visit project sites so I can't typically ride. Used to be 35 minutes but Austin area traffic continues to spread out farther and farther.

It looks like the majority of commutes are 30 minutes or less.

45 miles one way. Takes about an hour to make the trek by car or bike.

I get paid to ride my motorcycle. Kind of. My job requires me to drive around a bunch and I get paid for my time on the road. Commute times range from 10 minutes to 2 hours. I can also rack up a bunch of miles in a day, depending on my route.

To school, it's 10 minutes by motorbike, 20 by bicycle. I almost always take the bicycle.

40-45 minutes to the city to teach MC classes. I take the bike as much as possible, of course!

Depends upon which route I take. But never less than 45 minutes each way on the bike. Generally an hour to an hour and a half if I take the car and a little over an hour and a half total if i take the train.

18 miles for me. 25 minutes in the car and 15 minutes on the bike. If I leave at 5pm on some days, coming home is 40 minutes in the car (street or interstate, just as bad) and only 20 minutes if I lane split on the bike.

With all coronavirus scare lately, people have been staying home. Freeway's still clogged, but at least moving and not bumper-to-bumper. Carpool lane actually zips right along at 60-80mph and no splitting needed! Couple times last week, I made journey in 25-30 minutes! New record!

Just changed jobs a couple weeks ago. Haven't ridden the bike yet, weather sucked and now that weather is nice we are staying home.

But commute in the car is 30 minutes each way, the bike shouldn't be any faster on the new route. But it will be much funner.

My commutes are getting shorter and shorter as well. Less people on the roads since many people are self quarantined or there jobs have laid them off until this is all over........ Whenever that is!
